I Have Been Reading This Data for over 20 Years.

I Built the Framework Because
Nothing Existed

The Glucose Pattern Recognition Methodology™ did not come from a research paper. It came from almost 30 years of living inside metabolic data, a career reading mission-critical data streams at NASA, and the moment I realized that every fitness and wellness professional asking me about their clients' CGM data had nowhere to go.

The Data Was Always There. The Framework Took 20 Years to Build.

I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child. For almost 30 years, I have managed this disease through every life stage, an engineering degree, a NASA career, life living abroad, and two pregnancies. Through all of it, one constant: the continuous glucose monitor on my arm and the data it generates every five minutes.

I am not a researcher who studied glucose in a laboratory. I am someone who has lived inside this data for over 20 years, reading it, interpreting it, building systematic responses to what I see, in the way that someone who has done something for 20 years develops a fluency that no textbook fully describes.

Then I went to NASA

Before I founded BioFit, I was a NASA Certified Payload Operations Controller for the International Space Station at Marshall Space Flight Center. My job was to monitor real-time data from scientific experiments running on the ISS, to watch multiple data streams simultaneously, identify patterns as they developed, and build systematic responses when something looked wrong. No guessing. No margin for error. Systematic frameworks applied under pressure.

What I learned at NASA was not just how to read data. It was about building a systematic framework for reading any data, one that removes guesswork, establishes clear protocols, and tells you precisely when what you are seeing requires escalation.

The moment I saw the gap

When I looked at my two decades of CGM data through that NASA lens, not as a patient managing symptoms but as a data analyst reading patterns, I saw something I had not fully articulated before. The data contained systematic categories of patterns. Each category had its own physiological signature, its own driver, and its own appropriate response. I had been living in this for years. The GPRM™ is what happened when I organized it into a teachable framework.

Around the same time, fitness and wellness professionals started reaching out. Personal trainers. Health coaches. Physical therapists. Chiropractors. Dietitians. They were all asking the same question: “My clients are wearing CGMs and showing me their data. Where do I learn to read it?”

There was nothing

No certification for systematic CGM interpretation was built for fitness and wellness professionals. No framework that respected both the professional's existing scope of practice and the genuine coaching value that the data contained. No training that taught what to coach, what to monitor, and what to refer, in plain professional language.

So in 2018, I started building BioFit.

The GPRM™ is not a collection of glucose tips. It is a systematic discipline. The same kind of pattern recognition framework is applied in environments where misreading data has real consequences. Built by someone who has spent 20 years reading this specific data and a career building systematic responses to complex real-time information.
